Safety Standards
CSI ensures our contracted air carriers comply with the following best practices:
- Air carriers maintain current Part 91/121/129/135 certification as required by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) / Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
- CSI will arrange air carriers that are Department of Defense (DOD) approved, Department of Energy (DOE) approved, Department of Interior (DOI) approved or air carriers that have been recommended by a certified commercial inspector/auditor (i.e. Wyvern, ARG/US or equivalent), as requested by customers when available
- CSI will obtain copies of operator Certificates of Conveyance and Necessity or a Registration Certificate
- CSI will check air carrier operational history and safety records and will ensure air carriers maintain a current Air Worthiness Certificate from the FAA and the DOT
- Air carrier meets applicable Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements for air charter services and proof of compliance will be available, if requested
- CSI may conduct audits to Part 91/121/129/135 operators to ensure level of service and safety are maintained. Current fleet composition and availability for all air carriers are updated regularly and quality control is maintained through 24 hour flight following
